What personal data do we process and why?
Your personal data are processed by CurieuzenAir for the following purposes and legal grounds:
1: without registration: your IP-address. This data is only used in the form of anonymous statistics in order to optimise and improve the website https://curieuzenair.brussels.
2: Your name, e-mail address and address details following your registration as a candidate participant in CurieuzenAir via the online registration form or when you participate as an organisation in BRAL’s CurieuzenAir community programme. After registration, your personal data are automatically entered into our database. The technical management of the database is in the hands of UPing, based in Boom. The further processing of your personal data is carried out by a limited number of CurieuzenAir employees. You can read more about this below. We use your data to be able to perform the service you requested (possible participation as a measurement point for the survey).
3: your e-mail address if you left it on the homepage to be the first to be informed about the launch of CurieuzenAir. For sending this mail, your explicit, prior consent is requested when registering your mail address.
4. Your first name, surname and address details for the compilation of the measurement package and for sending it to a DPD pick-up point in your area. We use these data to be able to perform the service you asked for (participating in the research) properly.
5: Your first name, surname, e-mail address and address data for further processing and analysis of measurement results in the context of scientific research:
– The processing of the measuring tubes
– Participation in the online questionnaires
– Display of the measurement results in your personal measurement report
6: The placement of a colour-coded dot near the address of your measurement point on the central dot map on the website of our media partners Le Soir, Bruzz and De Standaard. This map of dots shows the measurement results per measurement point for the Brussels-Capital Region. It is possible to zoom in to street level.
The development of the dot map is in the hands of De Standaard. They only receive the X-Y coordinates of the measurement address, rounded to 3 decimal places. You give your explicit, prior consent to displaying the dot at your measurement point on the dot map.
7: When subscribing to the CuriousNeuzen newsletter: your e-mail address. When you subscribe to our mailing list, your explicit permission is asked for.
8: When subscribing to updates of our media partners Le Soir, Bruzz and De Standaard: your first name, surname and e-mail address. When you register on the registration form, your explicit, prior consent is requested for passing on this data to the media partners.
9: By cookies: The website uses analytical and functional cookies. We explain the provisions regarding the use of cookies in more detail later in this statement.
We use the collected data only for the purposes for which we have obtained the data. You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data, but you are aware that the provision of certain services will not be possible if you refuse the processing.
